The company manages over 600,000 payment terminals, following standard requirements from local processors. From now on, these devices will be managed in compliance with PCI PIN - Key Injection Facilities - standard for card transactions both in attended and unattended POS environments.
The scope of PCI PIN security standard addresses three objectives:
- To identify minimum security requirements for PIN-based interchange transactions.
- To describe minimum acceptable requirements for securing PIN data and encryption keys.
- To assure all stakeholders in the merchant's payment system that the cardholder PIN data is not compromised.
Terms of compliance are mandatory for acquirers and agents involved in PIN transaction process, including key injection and certificate management services.
