According to 2025 data from Payten Türkiye, digital payment orchestration has become a key growth driver for the Turkish insurance industry, reshaping how insurance companies manage collections, refunds and end-to-end customer experience. Digital payment systems are now a strategic necessity rather than a preference, directly impacting operational efficiency, revenue assurance and policyholder satisfaction.
In the first eight months of 2025, transaction volume processed via digital channels in the insurance segment reached 5,16M EUR, representing around 32 million transactions. Within the Payten ecosystem, this figure is projected to climb to 7,7M EUR by year-end, signaling both a strong shift in customer behavior towards digital and the tangible impact of infrastructure investments.
Insurance companies using Payten Payment Gateway benefit from multi virtual POS management, flexible integrations with multiple acquirers and smart transaction routing, which together enhance authorization success and operational continuity. Complementary capabilities – including alternative payment methods, mobile-friendly collection journeys, PCI DSS Level 1–compliant card-on-file, agency collection management, reconciliation, closed-loop wallets and the Disaster Recovery Centre – elevate resilience and customer experience.
Stored cards have become a strategic asset in this architecture: 72% of successful transactions were completed using stored cards, underscoring the importance of tokenization and “one-click payment” for recurring premiums, subscription-based products and automatic renewals. Credit cards remain the dominant instrument in digital collections, with a 97.93% share of volume, while a mix of single and instalment payments reflects customers’ focus on balancing cash-flow flexibility and speed.
Payten continues to earn prestigious industry recognition: Payten has been recently honored with the Silver Smart-i Award in the Digital Transformation category for its innovative project, "Smart Digital Transformation of Collections in the Insurance Sector – Payten Payment Gateway Integration." Held under the theme "InsurTech 2.0 – Explore the Possibilities," this year’s Smart-i Awards celebrated cutting-edge solutions that are reshaping the digital insurance experience.
Through this project, Payten Payment Gateway has been recognized as a strategic digital backbone for collections in the insurance industry—empowering insurers with seamless, end-to-end orchestration and optimization of payment processes. This achievement reinforces Payten’s unwavering commitment to data-driven, compliant, and customer-centric transformation across the financial services ecosystem.
