This protocol reduces the unwanted abandonment of purchases and the associated loss of sales for all parties involved. On the other hand, the issuers can increase the acceptance rate of approved transactions and thus increase the satisfaction of both consumers and online merchants.
The aim of the verification flow in an e-payment transaction is to verify the identity and prevent suspicious transactions without having the customer to enter additional information or password. 3D Secure 2.2 protocol, which now will be offered by Payten, was developed to achieve this goal. The latest version of the protocol will enable the member merchants to request strong authentication exemptions for low-risk transactions or for the transactions below a certain amount. In addition, the merchants will be able to initiate a customer verification without an interaction of the customer. On the other hand, customers will be offered the opportunity to make safer and faster payments by creating their whitelists and exempting selected merchants from strong authentication during their e-payment transactions
Payten Turkey is the first company certified for 3-D Secure 2.2 in Turkey and offers local and international issuers, acquirers and payment service providers various options for services and support.
