SoftPOS application by Payten and Chip Card is a handy new feature, enabling businesses to accept contactless payments using only Android devices they mostly already have, which eliminates the need for a separate POS device.
The solution is in use in five countries already, with more in the preparation phase.
SoftPOS is especially pragmatic for the business verticals such as taxi, delivery services, insurance, and similar which are conducting business on the go, often in confined spaces. Offering contactless acceptance will surely increase the client base of these businesses since cashless payment is actively sought after by clients everywhere in all situations. In cooperation with Payten and Chip Card, many major banks are already offering the service to their clients, and as of mid-May, our solution is also hosted in the EU.
Extending the SoftPOS Potential
In addition to the pure card acceptance, we are enriching the application with new features such as installment payment, sending merchant specific data, etc. The increase of small and micro merchants using SoftPOS is impressive, mounting up to 300% of transactions increase from January to May 2023.
